Indian pipe
(Monotropa uniflora | ghost plant| corpse plant)

A herbaceous perennial plant native to temperate regions of European Russia, Asia, North America and northern South America. Unlike most plants, it does not contain chlorophyll — that's why its white.




Also, instead of generating energy from sunlight, it is parasitic. Its hosts are fungi that live off trees, and, since doesn't depend on sunlight, it can live in very dark environments, such as the understory of dense forests.
