Pacific Harbour Seal

This true seal (i.e. an earless seal) is found in the coastal waters of the northern Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the Baltic and North Seas.

There are five subspecies of it. The Pacific common seal is the one you will see at Savary Island.

They bask on the rocks off Garnet Point and Whalebone Point on the south side of the island.
