monophysitism
(From Greek monos, single, and physis, nature)

The Christian belief that Jesus Christ had only a single "nature" which was both divine and human.

As opposed to dyophysitism which maintains that Christ has two natures, one divine and one human.

1. It was declared heretical in 451 CE at the Council of Chalcedon.
