ambigram

Definition - A graphic that spells out different words depending on which direction you view it from. Note: The words displayed in the other directions can be the same or different words.

Example - The Mitchell T. Lavin ambigram "chump" that appeared in The Strand magazine (UK) in June 1908

Etymology - The term was coined from the Latin ambi, both + gram, something written.
