The Dictionary of the Climate Debate (DCD)

Bjerknes, Vilhelm

(1862 – 1951) A Norwegian physicist and meteorologist who was one of the founders of weather forecasting. In 1895 he deduced the fundamental interaction between fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, which led him to formulate primordial versions of equations that are still used in climate modeling.
