The Dictionary of the Climate Debate (DCD)

European Project for Ice Coring in Antarctica
Definition: A European-led project to undertake deep ice-core drilling in Antarctica.

The main objective was to document the climatic and atmospheric record archived in Antarctic's ice by drilling and analyzing two ice cores. Researchers hoped that these cores would tell us about the rapid climatic changes that occurred during the last glacial epoch.
