The Dictionary of the Climate Debate (DCD)

Climate Action Network
Definition: (Aka CAN) A worldwide network of over 700 NGOs in 95 countries that lobbies governments and encourages action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to what they believe are ecologically sustainable levels. They have seven regional offices which co-ordinate their work in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Europe, Latin America, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
