Definition: A cooling event that occurred approximately 8,200 years ago and which lasted two to four centuries. It was the most severe climate change in the last 10 millennia; however, it was nothing compared to the Younger Dryas.

Notes:
1. It is also called the 8.2 kiloyear event.
